The Radiators:
The Radiators, still with the original five members, have
been bringing their New Orleans-inspired music to the
rest of the world for 28 years. The Rads have released
more than a dozen albums and are extremely proud of
their latest: Dreaming Out Loud (SCI Fidelity 2006).
They maintain a strong, loyal fan base and are on the
road relentlessly. During their early years, the band
members were able to watch and even play live with
many of their local New Orleans heroes such as
Allen Toussaint, Earl King, The Meters and Dr. John.
During this time The Radiators mixed such influences
with the rising spirit of sixties rock and R&B to form a new,
rhythm-intensive blend of rock and roll. In short, The Radiators
are a true rock n' roll band, loyal to the concept of ensemble
playing. They rely solely on the spirit of the music and lyrics
to create "the show". It is this musical marriage that has
created the Radiators legend and secured the fantastic
loyalty of fans known as "fish-heads". Their music is a living
& breathing entity, and one never knows what will happen
at a Radiators show...
